Valencia Basket tests its resistance vs. Khimki Moscow Region

The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague returns to La Fonteta closing the round 16 in a game in which Valencia Basket will host the Khimki Moscow Region (Wednesday 23, 21:00, Fonteta, DAZN) in a new edition of the great European classic of the orange team.

 

Jaume Ponsarnau's men will face their tenth game in 23 days in this tough month of December without confidence in front of a team full of individual talent and has in its ranks an Alexey Shved who is the third highest scorer and the best assistant of the competition.

 

The orange team has the recent precedents in its favor (it has beaten this rival in the last three games and won in six of the previous seven visits of the yellows in La Fonteta) but does not reach the game at its best moment of health. Louis Labeyrie will be sidelined due to a fibrillar rupture in his left adductor and will join Vanja Marinkovic's confirmed absence.

 

Joan Sastre has already joined the work and will be ready for tomorrow, but he has only been able to do one full practice before the game against Khimki. And other players, such as Guillem Vives (who lost the game against UCAM Murcia due to physical problems) are suffering from discomfort and their participation in the game will not be decided until before the tip-off. Valencia Basket currently ranks sixth in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with a score of 9-6.
